Strolling through @Ulta Beauty I was surprised, but also not surprised to see @TIRTIR Inc. having a gondola! But also wanted to take the time to educate how they are such a great example of a K-beauty brand that didn’t just rise to the top, it dominated. 👀 And it wasn’t by chance. IMHO it was this really smart mix of organic viral word of mouth momentum, genuine shade inclusivity (which is still rare in K-beauty and shout out to @Darcei for her work in this space), and a product that actually performs and is interesting. A year ago wifey asked me who should shop for what powder and WHY? 🤔And a lot of the same confusion is happening today so figured this was a worthy repost, especially with the @sephora Sale happening now. In summary: Pressed powder, like the ones from @Rare Beauty and @Tower 28 Beauty, is a win for my queens who want to boost a little blue. Rare is shaded so that means a little coverage boost. Tower is more about brightening blurred coverage. Loose powder, on the other hand, is for my most oily or combo skin beauty queens because it soaks up excess shine and gives a more matte look. Plus, the lack of liquid binder helps with oil control more than a pressed powder. Coverage is usually lighter but buildable if needed. If that’s your vibe, definitely check out options from @makeupbymario, @Huda Beauty, or @ONE SIZE BEAUTY. And finally baked powder, It’s that perfect in-between! It gives a more sheer, brightening effect and feels lighter on the skin—definitely more for brightening than setting in the case of @Kosas . @Sephora Collection will give you sheet boosted dimensional coverage, but not brightening like Kosas.
